The architect's home is a work in progress. On the Chicago River, this brick Chicago two-flat needed to face the landscape: face the river. First the kitchen and rear of the second floor were expanded to open them up. Then a third floor was added to provide a studio for the artist (architect's wife), master bedroom suite and library, with decks front and rear.
