The Montclare Senior Residences

Completed 2001-2003. Load bearing brick masonry and precast concrete structure with steel framing and exterior punched windows. The Montclare consists of two buildings, six and seven stories high, with a total of 350 apartment units. A community center building connects the two providing a near full complement of dining and social services. Located in the Montclare neighborhood on the northwest side of Chicago, the site was previously a Revere Copper fabrication facility. Considerable environmental mitigation and cleanup was part of the building program.
